The Physics And Chemistry Of The Atomic Nucleus

The atomic nucleus truly sits at the intersection of chemistry and physics. Dr. Heather Crawford will present the current state-of-the-art in nuclear science. The Facility for Rare Isotope Beams at LBNL is opening a new era for studies of the nucleus, advancing our understanding of nuclei across the Segre chart, and our knowledge of the origin of the elements and isotopes we find on Earth and across the cosmos.
