Let’s come together as the California Section of the American Chemical Society (Cal ACS) community to honor our past, celebrate the present, and build a brighter future! This is our second year for this new annual celebration.

Activities and Highlights:

  • Trivia about Cal ACS, Juneteenth, and PRIDE (plus some other fun games)
  • Exciting prizes for trivia winners
  • Delicious food and refreshments
  • Networking opportunities with fellow participants
  • Scenic location surrounded by nature
  • Right across a swimming pool and beautiful fishing dock

This is a free event, but registration is required for all participants.

Note: We have reserved Siesta Picnic Spot. The picnic area has reserved benches and tables for your convenience. However, you are welcome to bring your own chairs if you prefer. Dogs are allowed on a leash (park charges $2 per dog, service dogs are free).

Additional Important Information:

  • Located near the park entrance in a large lawn area with parking 300 ft away.
  • An ADA accessible chemical toilet is near the site.
  • The site is shady and near a fishing dock.
  • Paid parking available near the picnic site ($5 cash per car).
  • The picnic area is a few minutes’ walk from the parking area.
  • You can use the swimming lake, but our reservation does not grant access to it (Adults $3, Children and Seniors $2)
  • We will provide some beer and wine, but feel free to bring your own.
  • We have a permit for beer and/or wine; all other alcoholic beverages are NOT ALLOWED in the park at any time.
  • You are not allowed to take alcohol outside our picnic area, including to the swimming pool.
  • No hard alcohol is allowed at the park.
